Picene people

Today was about a rough draft for a book about the Picene people. Apparently they are so named because of their association with, or beliefs about, woodpeckers (Picidae) and the God Mars. I also started a relief drawing for another book, showing an ancient marriage ceremony. The below is my first idea for the cover.

Hester's beautiful craft

I pitched for Hester Van Overbeek's new book on resourceful home improvement and craft projects Jam Jars and I'll be illustrating it - hopefully starting next week, so excited. To see more about Hester and her lovely ideas for the home go to hestershandmadehome.com

Maps!

I was commissioned by 2Forks and Spoon PR Ltd to do two maps which were fun,
in Peckham and at Maltby Market.

Flying Merguez, street art style

I got to paint Flying Merguez outside at Urban Spree, amazing, one on the life time achievement list (never did learn Italian, but Russian was a nice surprise)

Flying Merguez, Urban Spree, Berlin

The exhibition 29 April–3 May at Urban Spree, Berlin, was amazing and reviewed well by Hifructose Inkygoodness and iheartberlin
The best thing was being reunited with my Picto buddies and seeing their characters

Here are some choicest pics
